Syllabus

The lien upon a crop of cotton created by a statute of Arkansas which gives a lien to a landlord upon the crop grown on demised premises to secure accruing rent, is, when the cotton comes into the hands of a broker in New Orleans under consignment from the lessee and without knowledge of the lien on the consignee's part, subordinated to the consignee's lien for advances, arising under the laws of Louisiana. clubjuris
